History

Pastor Doug and his wife, Karen, were called to found Church on Fire Ministries after almost 20 years of working in youth ministry. In August of 1996 they moved from their position in Georgia to Harrison, Ohio to start the church. The CFM congregation has grown so quickly over the years that often a larger building was needed. The church is now in its fifteenth building. In 2004 a 40,000 square foot grocery store was purchased and was turned into the existing church facility, and a second campus in Batesville, Indiana was added in 2014.

At Church on Fire Ministries, our goal is to infuse life and God’s love into people and families through engaging, powerful worship services that offer biblical truth in relevant and practical ways. But it won’t take you long to discover that we’re more than just a Sunday church. In fact, we’re actually a network of small groups that we call City Groups. If you’d like to develop authentic and enduring relationships with others, you’ll be glad to know there are opportunities to join a group all the time.

Together, we’re striving to become the kind of church described in the Bible, where there’s relevant teaching, heartfelt worship, honest friendships, constant prayer, and compassionate care for those in need. In short, we’d like to have the kind of contagious Christianity that you can call home.

In the meantime, you’ll find everything you need to get connected to Church on Fire Ministries right here on our website. You can use this site to check out our Student Ministries, listen or watch one of our weekend services, find information on our City Groups, or read about what’s going on around the church.

Enjoy, and please contact us if you have any questions.
